Who are Vianet?

Vianet was established in 1995 and has been an AIM listed business since 2006. Vianet operate from two core areas Smart Zones and Smart Machines. This strategic leadership role sits in within their Smart Machines business.

What is Vianet Smart Machines?

Vianet supply and install their own technology that acts as a data-gathering device with its own on-board communication capability to an asset, system or machine. The device then sends data back via our IOT platform to cloud-based servers.  Data is collected in real-time enabling our customers to proactively improve performance and utilisation of assets, creating transformational opportunities for growth.

What is the purpose of the role?

To drive the direction, development and growth of the Smart Machines Division within existing and new customer base, as well as creating and managing the sales team across differing sectors of UK Vending, Food Service, Brands and Machine Manufacturers.

Salary – Completely negotiable with an exceptional bonus aligned to it
Location – Field Based – with travel expected Nationwide
Hours per week –
37 hour per week (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm with some flexibility expected)

Responsibilities and accountabilities:
Grow the UK Vending, Food Service, Brands, and Machine Manufacturers side of the business.
Devising and implementing the Smart Machines sales strategy.
Retain and seek to grow current revenue streams and profit contribution
Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.
Track sales data and work to meet quotas or sales team goals
Analyse sales and key management reports that give insight into how a customer can make adjustments to improve performance and return on their assets
Create and present regular performance reports for managers and executives
Maintain excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
Manage and drive the performance of the Commercial team

Requirements and behaviours:
Previous experience in a Sales background, preferably within the UK Vending or Food Service industry although other transferable sectors would be considered
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Strong organisation skills and the ability to multitask
Good management and delegation
Strong demonstrable leadership and management skills
Positive attitude with the ability to create robust contracts for customers and Vianet
Strong commercial focus
